Todd Gunn, CPA

Todd joined the tax team of Ennis Pellum CPAs in 2013 and was admitted as a Shareholder in 2021. Todd provides tax planning and compliance services for businesses and individuals, including federal and state taxation for S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals.

Todd has over a decade of experience as an accountant and advisor. Before becoming an accountant, Todd owned and operated a residential remodeling business for five years. Todd specializes in accounting and taxation services for the construction and contracting industries and his experience includes commercial, residential, and specialty trade contractors as well as architectural and engineering firms. Todd’s industry experience also includes real estate, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, logistics, investments, and professional services companies.

Todd advises construction and contracting clients on the percentage of completion and completed contract accounting methods. He is also knowledgeable on different tax deferral strategies and methods for contractors. Through the interest from private equity firms in the construction industry over the recent years, Todd has also gained experience in advising clients through the sale of their business. He has been involved in acquisition negotiations starting with the planning to bring a company to market through closing and assisting with net working capital true ups after closing.

Todd served as Treasurer for the Florida First Coast chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors for four years. He has also served as a panel member on the Athena PowerLink program of the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center, Treasurer for the Grace Lutheran School PTL, and volunteer for HabiJax and the St. Francis Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
