Bob is the firm’s co-founder and retired from the firm and as a CPA in 2018.

Bob began his public accounting career with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (DH&S) in 1971. Bob was on the audit staff for four years prior and was eventually promoted to Tax Manager. Bob left DH&S and formed Hilliard & Ennis, P.A. in 1978, bringing to the new firm the fundamental principles of quality work and responsiveness upon which Ennis Pellum CPAs operates today.

Bob developed his expertise through supervision of audits and tax work in industries including: commercial and mortgage banking, commercial rentals, investment management, pension plans, unions, commercial and residential construction, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, and equipment sales and service. Bob also has extensive experience in tax planning, preparation and consulting services for a variety of closely held companies in advertising, manufacturing, home construction, lot development, medical services, produce distribution, and mortgage lending.

Bob served on the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Exchange Club. He is past president of the CPA Toastmasters Club and former member of the Accounting Principles and Auditing Committee of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bob is a former member of the ASPPA Benefit Council of Northeast Florida, Inc. and a former member of the President’s Forum.
