Brooks Southerland

Brooks joined Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs in November 2024, bringing over fourteen years of accounting experience, including twelve years in public accounting. He offers dual specialization in Assurance and Transaction Advisory Services (TAS), developed through experience at global accounting firms PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and BDO.

In his Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) role, Brooks advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, performing comprehensive Quality of Earnings (QOE) analyses, EBITDA calculations and adjustments, financial due diligence, and working capital assessments. His approach provides clarity and confidence, ensuring clients are well-prepared throughout the transaction process.

Brooks also provides Assurance services, including audits, reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures, and employee benefit plan audits. He has experience serving both public and private companies, with a strong focus on clear communication, accuracy, and proactive client engagement.

Brooks serves clients in a wide variety of industries, with experience in Technology, FinTech, Staffing, Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution, Professional Services, Nonprofit Organizations, and Employee Benefit Plans.

Outside of work, Brooks values family time, enjoys concerts, and plays golf. He is a die-hard Florida State and Jaguars fan and regularly attends their games.
