What Our Interns Have To Say

I truly believe I couldn’t have had a better experience as an intern at Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs, and now I am a full-time audit associate with the firm. I always knew there was someone I could go to with questions—and anyone I engaged with, from partners to staff, made sure I understood the task and could repeat the processes elsewhere. The culture at EPA was excellent. Everyone was so nice—I felt like the people who talked to me wanted to get to know me. I always had work to do, so there were no lulls, something I have heard other people complain about at their internships. The work I was doing was real. I wasn’t a coffee runner, which people were surprised about when I told them about my internship.

I enjoyed my internship at Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs—especially the level of involvement the executive team gives their interns and the wonderful company culture. The EPA partners and staff were very accommodating, and everyone was open to listening and growing. What I appreciated the most about working here was the diversity of the work provided and the ability to choose what I wanted. I was allowed to work on difficult assignments, and no one questioned my abilities—I was never made to feel bad about asking questions (even when I realized they were somewhat thoughtless later). This emphasis on growth and learning made my experience at EPA truly rewarding.

During my internship at Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs everyone assisted me with any questions or problems I had, which made me feel comfortable and not hesitate to ask questions when I had them. Also, I felt like I was part of the team since the first day, which I really appreciated. When doing an internship, you often feel like you don't really help or aren't important. However, here, I know that my work was useful and valuable. I think the company's culture is amazing—a great environment to work in. Without a doubt, the company takes care of its employees, especially during the firm's busy season, with lunch on Fridays and weekly fresh fruit. I believe these details are essential to distinguish the company culture from other workplaces and make the work journey more fun and easier to handle. Honestly, I have talked with my friends who have also done an internship this semester, and no one has experienced such a nice experience as me. Also, I like how flexible the company is with schedules if you have an appointment and the possibility of working remotely occasionally.
